As a seasoned business writer and public relations specialist, David Baum has more than 30 years of experience with all types of corporate communications projects. He has helped launch dozens of startup companies in the technology and healthcare sectors and also played an integral role in product launches at large companies.

As an independent journalist, Baum has published hundreds of articles on emerging technologies for leading business journals such as Profit, Byte, InformationWeek, Computerworld, and Health Management Technology, as well as in major metropolitan newspapers such as The San Francisco Chronicle and The Los Angeles Times.

Under the umbrella of Pacific View Public Relations, Baum enlists help from other professionals to provide a broad spectrum of marketing communication services including media relations, graphic design, branding, product positioning, website development, and all forms of marketing collateral.

Baum studied Philosophy, English and Journalism at Westmont College and Arizona State University before pursuing a masters degree in Public Relations at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He has held senior marketing positions at Signal Technology, SmartStar Corporation, and Sapiens International. He launched David Baum Communications in 1992 and founded Pacific View Public Relations in 2008.
